Without Walls TALKS: You don’t have to be Disabled to make Inclusive work, by Daryl Beeton

Without Walls is delighted to be partnering with 101 Outdoor Arts Creation Space to be hosting the first-ever Creative Lab: Digital.

The CREATIVE LAB: DIGITAL is a national event exploring the potential and practice of digital innovation in the outdoor and public space contexts. Focusing on the special challenges and opportunities of using creative technology in urban and natural environments, the event will comprise two parts:

 

DIGITAL & THE OUTDOOR – SYMPOSIUM – Tue 10 December

A one-day symposium for artists, producers, festivals, funders and technologists to explore the opportunities to work with digital technology outdoors and in public spaces.

Come and hear presentations and discussions featuring key players in the digital realm and case studies from exciting artistic projects that are combining virtual, live, physical and environmental elements.

Contributions from AND, Watershed, Google Arts & Culture Lab as well as a range of exciting artists making work for public space will cover areas including augmented and virtual reality, gaming, projection work and geolocated sound.

This event is priced at £10 including lunch – book your ticket at the 101 Outdoor Arts Creation Space website.

 

CREATIVE TECH LAB – Wed 11 – Fri 13 December

A three day intensive residential for artists and creative practitioners wanting to immerse themselves in the ‘how’ of integrating and developing creative technology aspects of their work in outdoor and public space.

We’ll combine hands-on practical sessions with individual surgeries and group discussion. There’ll be chances to access 101’s dedicated fabrication workshop and a range of indoor and outdoor spaces to play with possibilities.

£150 including food and accommodation.

Please note: Capacity for this event is limited to 15 people. To apply to take part please send a letter to hello@101outdoorarts.com by 1 November detailing why you would like to be part of the event and include details of relevant practice to date.
